Andrea Garrido is a career coach and counselor who advises, provides career management support, and fosters the development of professional networks for urban planning, public policy and public informatics graduate students at The Bloustein School at Rutgers University. Andrea has over 20 years of experience in the career counseling and coaching field, working at both private and public universities serving undergraduate and graduate students, and as a private career coach to new and experienced professionals, mid-career professionals and those entering their encore careers, guiding them through their career pivots and/or re-entries into the workforce. Andrea transitioned into this field from the corporate sector where she worked for a number of years in recruiting, human resources and account management roles in a variety of industries. Andrea earned her Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University and her Bachelor of Business Administration from The Sellinger School of Business at Loyola University Maryland.
