By Train, Foot or Bicycle
The New Brunswick train station, which is served by NJ TRANSIT, is about an hour from New York City and Philadelphia. The Bloustein School is approximately five minutes walking distance from the station. Cross Albany St. (Route 27) and turn left. Walk a block and a half to George St. Turn right onto George St. and walk four blocks to Livingston Ave. Turn right onto Livingston Ave. The Bloustein School is at the corner of Livingston Avenue and New Street.
From New Jersey Turnpike (North or South)
Take Exit 9 to Route 18 North. Take the New Street exit. Stay straight through the lights at Neilson Street and George Street. On your left is the Morris Street parking deck. You can park there or on the street at an available meter.
From Garden State Parkway (Southbound, coming from Northern New Jersey)
Take Exit 129 to the New Jersey Turnpike South. Take Exit 9 for Route 18 North and follow the Turnpike directions above.
From Garden State Parkway (Northbound, coming from Southern New Jersey)
Take Exit 105 to Route 18 North and follow the directions listed above.
From Route 1 (North or South)
Take Route 1 to the intersection of Route 18 and take the exit for Route 18 North. Follow the directions listed above.
From I-287 (North or South)
Take Exit 10 to Easton Avenue (New Brunswick). Proceed on Easton Avenue for approximately 7 miles until it ends at Albany Street (at the New Brunswick train station). Turn left onto Albany Street; go a block and a half to George Street. Turn right at George Street and go four blocks to Livingston Avenue. Turn right onto Livingston Avenue; the Bloustein School will be on your right at the next intersection, the corner of Livingston Avenue and New Street.
Parking in New Brunswick
The Bloustein School is located in downtown New Brunswick. Parking for guests is available throughout the city, by either parking curbside, metered, or in a municipal parking garage. Two municipal parking lots are approximately a one block walk to the Bloustein School’s Civic Square Building:
- The Morris Street Deck is located at the corner of New and George Streets (GPS address is 70 New Street, New Brunswick, NJ)
- The New Street Deck is located on the corner of New Street and Joyce Kilmer Avenue (GPS address is 134 New Street, New Brunswick, NJ).
Both parking decks are hourly rated and operate 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. For a map of municipal parking lots, information about other lots, lot capacity, clearances and rates please visit the New Brunswick Parking Authority website.
The Civic Square Deck, situated underneath the Bloustein School’s Civic Square Building, is NOT open to the public weekdays during the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Permits and access cards are required for entrance. The garage is open to the public evenings and weekends ONLY. Flat rate of $6 per vehicle at the pay station; exact change only (no coins or credit cards).
