Brian Kurisky

Collaborative Center for Community Engagement, Rutgers

Dr. Brian Kurisky is the Executive Director for the Collaborative Center for Community Engagement at Rutgers University New Brunswick.  In this position, he oversees the work of the Collaborative, which includes co-curricular engagement for students, faculty, and staff throughout New Brunswick and Piscataway.  The Collaborative Center hosts programs such as the Bonner Leader program (a competitive leadership program where students work with community organizations working on projects) and the Advancing Community Development program (a research program that is funded with a gift from Johnson and Johnson).  Outside of the Collaborative Center, Dr. Kurisky is overseeing Rutgers New Brunswick reaffirmation application for the Carnegie Community Engagement designation and overseeing the implementation of the platform GivePulse (named RCommunity on the campuses) on all four Rutgers University campuses.  He holds a PhD from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in Higher Education Leadership and a Masters in Education in College Student Affairs and Leadership from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI.
