Celestina Mensah is a senior majoring in Public Health at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. She transferred from Raritan Valley Community College, where she was a mentee in the prestigious Sanofi Corporate Mentor & Scholarship Program and a recipient of the Paul Robeson Institute Scholarship. Her dedication to her studies and passion for making a difference led her to participate in the Fall 2023 MBS Externship Exchange program. As part of a collaborative effort with six other students, her team delivered a presentation on the impact of school lunches on childhood obesity, earning their group an award for Best Lightning Talk Presentation. Inspired by her personal experiences as an immigrant, Celestina is determined to make a difference by providing the support she wished she had. Her goal is to advocate for patients and help them access the resources needed to navigate the complex U.S. healthcare system. To achieve this, she is pursuing a certificate in Public Health Education and Advocacy.
