Mark Valli

NORWESCAP

Mark Valli is the CEO for NORWESCAP, a nonprofit organization serving over 30,000 low-income individuals and families in the areas of Education, Employment, Financial Empowerment, Health, Housing & Community Development, and Volunteerism.  Norwescap serves Hunterdon, Morris, Warren, Somerset and Sussex counties. Previously he served as CEO for the Community Charter School of Paterson serving over 900 students K-8 in Paterson, NJ, the State’s third largest city, and one of its poorest.  Previously, Mr. Valli was the founding President & CEO of New Jersey After 3 serving over 75,000 students in 120 NJ schools.  He served as Vice President of New Jersey Community Development Corporation; a founding staff person with the New Jersey Commission on National & Community Service; and, served in the Governor’s Office under Governor Jim Florio. Mark was Chairman of the New Jersey Center for Nonprofit Corporations and Vice Chair of Leadership New Jersey Graduate Organization.  In 2007 Mr. Valli was recognized by NJ Biz Magazine as one of New Jersey’s ‘Top Forty Under Forty’.  Mark currently sits on the Boards of Capital One Community Renewal Fund, the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey, The Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board, and the PNC Community Advisory Board. Mark holds an MPA at Rutgers University.  Mark earned his BA from Swarthmore College.
