UBHC Community-based Programs

Stephanie Evans, MS, has worked in the mental health field for 30 years, including 24 years with Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare (UBHC.)  She started as a counselor at their partial hospital program and after 12 years moved to the case management department.  Stephanie is currently a Program Manager within the Community-Based Serviced department.  This department provides outreach services to individuals with mental health/substance use disorders. These services include assessment of the individual’s needs, planning and implementation through linkages and referrals.  In her role, she has overseen various case management program including Justice Involved Services (JIS), Homeless PATH, Specialized Case Management and Outreach Services (SCMOS), STAR (Support Team for Addiction Recovery), R-HOME, LEAD and Supported Employment (SE.)  Stephanie is a member of several committees through the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office including the Mental Health Initiative, Veterans Diversion Program and the CIT Middlesex County Planning Committee, where she also teaches a block. She is also on the Built for Zero committee (to end homelessness in Middlesex County), and PAC. Stephanie holds a BS in Psychology from Georgian Court University and a MS in Psychiatric Rehabilitation/Management from Rutgers University.  She is also a graduate of Union County CIT.
