Tatiana Sarmiento is a senior at Rutgers University, Honors College, pursuing a dual major in Public Policy and Criminal Justice with a minor in Music. She is passionate about law, social justice, and public service, gaining hands-on experience through internships with the Office of Senator Cory Booker and the Ford Foundation. At Rutgers, Tatiana has participated in programs such as the Darien Civic Engagement Project, the Aresty Research Program as a research assistant, and as a Lead Editor of the Eagleton Political Journal. Tatiana is very involved on campus and committed to giving back to her community; she does this through her work as the Programming Chair of the Latinx Pre-Law Society, Secretary of the Colombian American Student Association, Program Leader for the Honors College Latinx Affinity Group, and Baritone Section Leader of the Rutgers Marching Band. She looks forward to attending law school one day and working as an attorney in the public sector.
