Tiffany Ip is a graduate student in the Master of City and Regional Planning program at the Bloustein school where she is pursuing a concentration in Housing, Real Estate, and Redevelopment. She is driven by her desire to find solutions to end homelessness, particularly in urban areas, and understand the factors that contribute to chronic poverty in these communities. Through her undergraduate studies at NYU and internship with here there and EVERYwhere, Inc., she learned how intimate the relationship is between poverty and other social issues and why it can feel impossible for someone to climb out of poverty without proper resources or support in place. At the culmination of her work, she envisions a design for transitional housing that incorporates a multitude of resources, such as job assistance and mental health services.
