About the Faith-based Affordable Housing Database

The faith-based affordable housing database catalogues congregation-led developments built on religious property across the United States in the past decade.
The database is inclusive of all houses of worship. The purpose is to provide faith leaders, affordable housing advocates, researchers and anyone else interested in faith-based affordable housing with a better understanding of how these projects are built. Documenting who is involved, where funding was received, and how space is used in a development, among other information, will not only provide a baseline number of how many houses of worship are building affordable housing on their property, but will also help analyze trends and patterns.
This project is funded by a generous grant from the Duke Endowment and Trinity Church Wall Street.
Data in the FBAHD comes from aggregating publicly accessible information about faith-based affordable housing across different websites.
If you would like to share information about a faith-based affordable housing project that is not in the database, please fill out this form.
